Johnston Press plc announces that H C M Johnston and Lord Gordon of Strathblane, CBE have both retired as non-executive directors of Johnston Press plc at today's AGM.

This is confirmation of the plans of both directors outlined in the 2006 Annual Report and Accounts.

The Board would like to thank both Mr Johnston and Lord Gordon for the outstanding contributions they have made during their service to Johnston Press plc and wish them both well for the future.
