Press Release: With Immediate Effect

On Monday 21st July the regional publishing group Johnston Press launched its new motors site www.motorstoday.co.uk

The site is individually personalised to all of Johnston Press’s 150 local newspaper web sites and extensively promoted within the group’s 250 plus newspaper titles. In addition to this, the stand alone national brand will be extensively promoted across national channels.

At launch over 100,000 cars, ranging from Ferrari to Mini are available to search on. The cars are uploaded to a central database from a variety of sources including both private and trade motor advertisements taken from the group’s many regional newspapers.

Whilst having a refreshingly different design, great care has been taken to ensure the search is simple to use with all key data populated from drop downs and are centred around the users postcode ensuring local cars are returned first, reflecting the “life is local” philosophy of Johnston Press.

In addition to the search facility the site is backed up with comprehensive news and car data through partnerships with well respected automotive companies.
