The end of 2012 saw the launch of iPad and Android tablet apps for 18 of our titles. Eight of these already had iPad apps available – with The Scotsman's app now approaching 30,000 downloads - and these were updated alongside 10 completely new iPad apps for other titles including the Sheffield Star and Sunderland Echo.

All 18 titles also launched new Android tablet apps which will work on Android tablet devices including the new Amazon Kindle Fire, the Google Nexus 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

These are complemented by mobile-specific versions of our newspaper websites which were launched in 2011. These have generated significant traffic, with the majority of users aged under 35, opening up a powerful new audience for our advertisers and audiences.

We also have iPhone apps for Jobstoday and iAnnounce as well as 10 local football apps.
